Born on November 5, 1946, in Charleston, West Virginia, Carolyn was the daughter of the late Lehman Wallace and Arlene (Brown) Rhodes. She was a graduate of Logansport High School.

Carolyn dedicated 30 years to Federal-Mogul, a career she took great pride in.

Carolyn loved music, flowers, gardening, shopping, and vacationing. Some of her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends. Above all, she had a heart for children. Her love and care extended far beyond her own family, and she had a special way of making the children who crossed her path feel cared for and loved.

Carolyn is survived by her children, Holly (Settlemyre) Tenhundfeld, Thomas Neal, Mark (Julie) Settlemyre, and Brenda (Lannie) Ryan; her brothers, Lehman Wallace Jr, Roger Wallace, and Steven Wallace; 12 grandchildren, Travis, Andrew, Benjamin, Riley, Alyona, Luba, Zachery, Jeremy, Kristin, Kaitlyn, Thatcher, and Addison; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her grandchild, Trinity; and nephew, Shane.

Carolyn believed in enjoying life and made many wonderful memories along the way. Some of her most cherished experiences were shared with her three lifelong best friends, Doris, Marsha, and Judy. Through the years, their friendship brought countless adventures and plenty of good times that Carolyn held close to her heart.

Cremation will take place, with burial to be held privately at Mount Hope Cemetery in Logansport.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Cass County Humane Society, 700 Water Street, Logansport, Indiana 4694.
