Guy Benson, Jr., 64, of Thornhope passed away peacefully at 11:05 a.m., Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Hickory Creek Healthcare in Winamac surrounded by his loving family.
Born on July 29, 1952 in Logansport, he was the son of the late Guy and Mildred (Anders) Benson, Sr.
He attended Pioneer High School.
Guy formerly was employed at Harts Mountain in Logansport for over 10 years. He attended Thornhope Community Church and he enjoyed collecting John Deere toy tractors.
Survivors include one son, Guy Benson III of Elkhart, daughters, Sabrina K. Benson and Megan Ann Benson both of Fowler, sisters, Deb Gruszczyk (Greg) of Lucerne and Barbara Benson of Royal Center, granddaughter, Nayllha Brewer of Fowler and sister in law, Laura Benson of Thornhope. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was also preceded in death by brothers, Mark and Dennis Benson.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Homes, Royal Center Chapel with Pastor David Webb officiating.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
