Seth Russell Badger, 32, Logansport, was called from this life to take the Hand of Jesus, his Lord and Savior, after suffering fatal injuries during a work-related accident, Friday, November 11, 2022, in Kokomo.
Born June 26, 1990, in Kokomo, he was the son of Brandon and Mary (Sturtz) Badger.
On December 11, 2020, in the Indianapolis Children’s Museum, he married the love of his life, Sara (Horner) Badger.
Seth was a 2009 graduate of Lewis Cass High School. He attended Indiana University-Kokomo. He had worked as an industrial laborer at Haynes International in Kokomo
A devoted husband and loving father, Seth was a family man. He would want you to know, that even in the midst of this tragedy, God is perfectly good. And while we don’t fully understand the “why’s and the what if’s” that we face in life, God is good, all the time.
From an early age, Seth loved everything basketball – playing it, watching it, and talking stats about it. Music was a passion with Seth. He and Kaiden would produce their own style of music using computers.
Seth leaves behind a beautiful gift by being an eye and tissue donor through the VisionFirst Indiana Lions Eye Bank and the Donate Life Indiana Network that will help heal 75 lives.
Surviving with his wife, Sara Badger, are his sons, Kaiden, age 14, Zaedyn, age 4, and William, who is due in April 2023; his father and stepmother, Brandon and Andrea Badger; his step-father, Rick Lee; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gary and Jane Horner; sisters, Sophie Badger (Lindsey McGuffey), and Gwyneth Badger (John Taller); his best friend, who was more like a brother, Curt (Katie) Riley; brother-in-law, Justin (Jayme) Horner; nephew and niece, Asher and Katelyn Horner; and his son, Kaiden’s, mother and step-father, Amber & Chris Offutt.
In addition to his mother, Mary Lee, he was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Maryn Jane Badger.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Friday, November 18 at the Fisher Funeral Chapel, 1801 Chase Road, Logansport, Indiana.
A Funeral Service celebrating Seth’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 19, in the funeral chapel with Rev. Gretchen Schneider officiating.
Interment will follow in the Walton I.O.O.F. Cemetery
The family has requested, in lieu of flowers and keepsakes, memorial contributions may be made to the Badger Family Tribute Fund to help establish an education fund for his sons. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home or donations may be made directly to the fund on Seth’s Tribute Wall at www.fisherfuneralchapel.com.
