Mary K. Kline, 101, of Logansport, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023, in Logansport Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.

Born January 13, 1922, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late William and Harriett (Waddups) Widner.

On January 22, 1938, in Rochester, she married Elmer A. Kline Sr. He preceded her in death in 1980.

An excellent cook, Mary owned and operated the College Hill Inn as well as a Pie Shoppe on 7th Street. She was well-known for her delicious sugar creme pies and homemade yeast rolls.

Mary was a member of the former Wheatland Avenue Methodist Church. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary.

She loved to crochet and was always up for a game of Hand & Foot, Euchre or, yes, even poker with her friends! She had a fun personality and a very loving heart.

Surviving are two grandchildren, Diane Bagley and her companion, Doug Oldham, and David Kasch; two great-grandchildren, Brent (Madallyn) Bagley, and Dane Miller; one great-great-grandson, Conrad Joseph Bagley, and nieces Gerri and Robyn, and cousin, Linda, who were like daughters to her; as well as several extended family members.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law, Rugh and Joe Kasch; her son, Elmer A. Kline, Jr.; brothers, Chester M. and Williams Widner, Jr.; sisters, Irma Madonna and Irene Plumbaum; and grandson, Don Kasch.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, September 13 in Fisher Funeral Chapel.

A funeral service celebrating Mary’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 14 in the funeral chapel.

Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
