Roscoe Stephen (Steve) Hufford, 72, passed away with his family by his side Saturday, May 10, 2025. Roscoe Stephen (Steve) Hufford was born September 9, 1952 in Logansport, IN. His parents were Roscoe and June (Denny) Hufford, Lake Cicott, IN. Steve graduated from Pioneer High School in 1970. He was a proud Pioneer Panther and trainer for the baseball and basketball teams. He attended Ball State and received his B.S. in Business in 1978.

Steve is survived by his three children whom he loved very much, Kyle (Adela) Hufford, New Paris, IN, Sean Hufford, Grand Rapids, MI, Stephanie (James) Underwood, Lowell, MI. Grandchildren Garrett Hufford, New Paris, IN, Abby Underwood and Josephine Underwood, Lowell, IN, Lexi, New Orleans. Nephew Rick (Sharon) Ohman, Niece Chris (Todd) Hickey, Great Nephews Owen Ohman and Evan Ohman all of Logansport, IN, many cousins including Scott (Pam) Denny, Logansport, IN, Linda (John) McManus, Galveston and many more. Uncle Dick (Jean) Denny, of Minnesota.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents Roscoe and June Hufford who he was eternally grateful for adopting him and giving him a wonderful life. His sister, Bonnie Ohman, also preceded him in death.

Steve grew up in Lake Cicott, IN – a town and a group of people he loved. Steve coached Little League for many years along with youth basketball in Monticello, IN.

Steve was formerly employed at Wilson Foods, Logansport, IN. He then worked in food safety his entire career. He owned Stephen Hufford Food Safety Consulting LLC. a firm that counseled and assisted food companies throughout the United States.

Finally, Steve is very grateful to his birth Mom Katheryn who gave him life and let Roscoe and June adopt him. He had a wonderful life.

Steve will be missed by his children, grandchildren, friends and family.

Friends and family are welcome to gather for visitation from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Fisher Funeral Chapel (1801 Chase Rd, Logansport, IN 46947.  At 11 a.m., the funeral procession will travel to Davis Cemetery where a graveside service will be held. (The cemetery is located on US 24 West and N County Road 1050 W, Logansport, IN 46947).  The cemetery is west of Burnettsville.
