
CCCF announces funding for 2025 Opportunity Grants recipients

The Cass County Community Foundation announced the names of five organizations who will be recipients of the CCCF 2025 Opportunity Grants at a press conference and reception Thursday, July 31st at the CCCF office.
“Opportunity Grants are for projects of $5,000 or less that will have a positive impact in our community”, said CCCF President & CEO Deanna Crispen. She added, “ Some of our non-profits struggle to even fund the most important aspects of their work. We applaud all these workers and volunteers for their heart for our community and its people.”
CCCF Grants Committee Chair, Barrie McClain, made the announcements and presented the awards to representatives of the organizations. Those receiving funding and their projects are:
Columbia Elementary PTO $4,999 Picnic Tables for Playground
Logansport Street Outreach $2,540 Wagons for homeless clients
Neal Home $5,000 Repairs of bathroom water damage
Pioneer Regional PTO/RCVD $4,999 Inclusive Playground Equipment
Young America Lions Club $2,249 Milk Cooler for the Lion’s Den
The total awarded in 2025 Opportunity Grants is $19,787.
Crispen shared, “our Board of Directors is providing funds now so that these projects can get underway yet this summer. The CCCF Competitive Grants program is still in progress and recipients will be announced later this fall. The Community Foundatiuon had previously announced $230,000 available for the two programs. Following tonight’s distribution, a pool of $210,213 remains for competitive proposals.”
