Rita Faye Chambers, 67, of Logansport, passed away Friday, August 15, 2025, surrounded in the loving comfort of home with her family
Born June 25, 1958, in Beattyville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Curtis Riley and Grace (Chambers) Thompson.
Rita worked for Tay-Mor Industries and United Technologies for over 30 years before retiring. She had also worked at Karen’s Tracks to Beauty and Woodbridge Health Campus.
Rita was a loving mom and grandma who enjoyed spending time with her family. She liked cooking big meals for the entire village, especially homemade noodles, and she canned food so everyone could enjoy it later. Rita loved getting together for holidays and making memories with the people she cared about. She also liked fishing and going to watch the local race cars. She enjoyed the simple things in life and always made others feel welcome.
Rita is survived by her two children, Jack Henry and his wife Candi, and Angela Padilla, all of Logansport: siblings, Gayle (Clyde) Craft, Danny Chambers, Timothy (Stella) Chambers, Oma (Bo) Noel, Alfred (Faye) Thompson, Cathy Isaacs, Kenneth Riley, and Vivian Thornton; grandchildren, Britney, Katelyn, Lacey, Gracelynn, Darron, Marcie, Isabella and Jazmin; great-grandchildren, Ayden, Amethyst, Kyah, Elle, Marleigh, Michael, Alexander, Lillian, and Benjamin; special friends, Tammy Campbelle and Melissa Ousley; and several extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Jim Riley, John Brixner and Sherman Chambers; and one sister, Judy Isaacs.
A funeral service celebrating Rita’s life will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Pastor Kevin Palmer officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 -3 p.m., prior to the service.
