Theodore M. “Ted” Peltz

Theodore M. “Ted” Peltz, 72 of Logansport, Indiana, passed away Monday, October 20, 2025, at home.

Born August 29, 1953, in South Bend, Indiana, he was the son of the late Theodore Henry Peltz and the late Catherine J. “Katie” (Rhoades) Culp.

A graduate of Argos High School, Ted was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He entered the military in 1971 during the Vietnam era and was honorably discharged in 1979.

On February 11, 1975, in Rochester, he was married to Vickie (Quinn) Peltz, who survives.

Ted was employed with Myers Springs. He had also worked at Baker’s Specialty.

Ted was a skilled carpenter. He was a devoted fan of the Chicago Bears. His family appreciated his love of cooking. Ted loved being with his kids and grandkids. He also had a passion for soccer and coached his kids when they were little. He also enjoyed and appreciated all the time he was able to spend with his special friends, Jack Williams and Jeff Appleton.

Surviving with his wife, Vickie Peltz are his children, Christopher Peltz, Logansport, Shanon Peltz and Jesse (Teresa) Peltz, all of Texas, and Dakota (Mikila) Peltz, Logansport; two brothers, Steve Peltz, and Dennis (Reva) Peltz, a sister, Judy (John) Marion; and his grandchildren, Lillyann, Carter, Isaiah, Demyrah, Remington, and several other grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Paula Spencer.

Friends will be received from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, October 25 in Fisher Funeral Chapel, Logansport. A Memorial Service, with full military honors, will follow at 3 p.m.at the funeral chapel.

Inurnment will be held in the Marion National Cemetery, at a later date.
