Reuben John Moore, 47, Whiteland, Indiana, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2025.

Reuben was born September 20, 1978, in Chicago Heights, Illinois

Reuben had a real gift for painting. He worked on homes and businesses; and even managed a paint store for a while. He just had an eye for color—he could walk into a room and know exactly what shades would work. And when it came to building things, like a cabinet, he didn’t need a blueprint. He could picture it in his mind and knew exactly which wood to use to make it just right.

Reuben was a die-hard football fan. He rooted faithfully for the Indianapolis Colts and the IU Hoosiers, win or lose. He also loved playing softball and spent time deer hunting—he enjoyed being outdoors and the thrill of the game, whether it was on the field or in the woods.

Surviving with his father and stepmother, John and Beverly Moore, are his children, Micah, Delaney and Kenzie Moore and their mother, Brooke, and Avery and Anslie Moore, and their mother, Hannah Carraco; eleven siblings, Amanda (Joe) Bitton, Hannah (Todd) Antworth, Isaiah Moore, Teresa Moore, Joanna (Garrett) London, Andrea Moore, Joshua (Samantha) Moore, Eythan (Harley) Moore, Donald Moore, Justin (Emma) Moore, and Dallas Moore; and several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William “Randy” and Mary Eilene Moore, and his great-grandparents, Gerald and Agnes Spahr.

A time of visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 11 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1 in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Dawn Fisher officiating.

Burial will follow in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral chapel to assist the family with final expenses. Visit the online Tribute Fund found on Reuben’s obituary page at www.fisherfuneralchapel.com.
