This obituary was written by Dianna Mitchell, mother of Trina Parker, in loving memory of a life remembered and celebrated.

It is with profound sadness and cherished memories that we announce the passing our beloved Trina Deniece Parker who transitioned this life on December 6, 2025, at the age of 62.  Trina was a devoted spouse, daughter, mother, and grandmother.

Trina was born February 7, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois, to Luther and Dianna Hill. She grew up surrounded by family and friends who nurtured her with their spirit and love.

Trina was a devoted wife to Bennett Parker for thirty-eight years.

Trina was known for her laughter. She loved to laugh.  She had a great sense of humor.  She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a very young age and continued to be devoted to Christ until the day of her transition.  She had many illnesses which kept her close to home for over twenty years. Trina loved attending Bible study class online at New Home Baptist Church in Phoenix, Arizona.  She said that it brought her peace.  She also loved Pastor Darryl Jackson.

Trina is survived by her husband, Bennett Parker; two children, Marcus Hill and Latrina Berry; brother, Luther (Kip) Hill; twelve grandchildren; her mother and stepfather, Dianna and James Mitchell; extended family and a host of first and second cousins, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Luther Hill, Sr.

A celebration of Trina Parker’s life will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2025, in Fisher funeral Chapel, 1801 Chase Road, Logansport, Indiana.  Visitation will be from 3 – 4 p.m. prior to the service.

All who knew and loved Trina are invited to attend and share in the remembrance of a truly remarkable individual.

Though Trina may be gone from our sight, she will live on forever in our hearts. We will carry her memory with us always, grateful for the time we shared and the love that remains.

“Even when I walk through the dark valley of death, I will not be afraid, for you are beside me.  Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.”  (Psalm 23:4)
