Malcolm “Mal” Evan Bainbridge was born in Elgin, IL to the late Robert and Mary Jane Bainbridge. Mal lived his life with a generous heart and an unwavering desire to be of service to others. Whether he was offering a helping hand, sharing a home‑cooked meal, or simply showing up when someone needed him, Mal brought comfort and care wherever he went.

He found joy in the kitchen, cooking for the people he loved, and he cherished every moment spent with family. Those who knew him will remember his warmth, his steady presence, and the way he made others feel valued.

Mal proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, reflecting his deep sense of duty and integrity. He was also devoted to his faith and community, serving as a church deacon and embracing the principles of fellowship and service as a Freemason.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Judy; his sister, Dawn Hall, and her husband, Cliff; his brother, Robin, and his wife, Susan; and his children, Deb (Bill) Hartwell, Gregory (Belinda) Morrow, and Doug (Stacey) Morrow. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great‑grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who carry forward his love and the lessons he shared. He was preceded in death by children Robin Maurer, Michael Davis, and Pamela Hall, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

Mal leaves behind a legacy of service, connection, and quiet strength. His memory will continue to live on in the lives he touched and the love he gave.
