Margaret Ruth Voglund

Margaret Ruth Voglund, age 96, of Logansport, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, with her girls by her side.

Margaret was born on August 20, 1929, in Washington Township, Carroll County, to Andrew Huston and Bessie (Rynearson) Huston. She graduated from Deer Creek High School in 1947.

On September 9, 2002, she married George L. Voglund at All Saints Catholic Church in Logansport. He preceded her in death on September 14, 2015.

Margaret spent 17 years with the Chicago Truck Drivers Union (Independent) in Chicago and later 17 years with Morris Corporation in Logansport.

She was a life member of V.F.W. Auxiliary Post 3790 and American Legion Auxiliary Post 60, both of Logansport. Margaret was also a former member of the Chicago Truck Drivers Union Independent Retiree Club and the Logansport Moose Ladies Auxiliary, where she proudly served as President and later as State Recorder.

Margaret is survived by her son: Bernie (Christine) Uszcienski of Arizona; five daughters: Robin (Jay) Carter of Canton, Georgia; Sue Byrnes of Downers Grove, Illinois; Kimberly (Mark) Burr of Downers Grove, Illinois; Becky (Bill) Thompson of Logansport; Denise (Todd) Walters of Westfield; and one sister, Phyllis Rhinehart of Logansport; eleven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Catherine Wade; her grandson, Oliver Crain; one brother; and three sisters.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Bethel Cemetery in Logansport.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Bethel Cemetery through the Cass County Community Foundation.
