Russell Albert Wright, 72, of Logansport passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Chase Center.

Born on November 4, 1953, in Ogden, Utah, he was the son of the late Leonard and Ada (Barney) Wright.

He graduated in 1971-72 at Bonneville High School in Ogden, UT

Russell met his wife Mary while roller skating and proceeded to knock her skates out from under her many times and then would catch her as she fell, eventually landing him their first date on March 1976 they eloped to Elko, Nevada. On August 1979 they married again in their church temple.

They shared 49 years together and raised their 4 children. Angela “Angel” (Curt) Smith and their children, Anthony, Jasmine, Andrew, Kaitlyn, Scott. Tobby (Jen) Wright and their children Cody, Katie, Tyler, Camden. Vince Wright. Corin (Conrad) Hessler and their children, Casey, Cash, Clyde. Along with 4 great grandchildren.

He is also survived by brothers, Gene (Ginny) Hawaii, Steven (Kathy) Utah, Duane (Karen) Utah.

He is proceeded in death by his wife, both his parents, brothers Loren, Leon, L. Ray. Father and mother in-law’s, a brother-in law.

Russell loved reading his Bible/Book of Mormon and loved talking to people about Jesus. He loved everything to do with nature, Hiking, Camping, riding horses, bird watching/mimicking. He had a creative spirit and loved drawing, and it brought great happiness to those that received them. He loved spending time with his grandkids and enjoyed making people laugh with his many jokes and voice changes.

He had a goofy grin that made everyone smile and a loving heart. He is deeply loved and greatly missed.

Graveside Services will be at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Citizens I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Kewanna.
