Kathy Lyn DeFord, 69, Logansport, Indiana, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2026, in Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis, following a long courageous battle with lung cancer.
Born March 23, 1956, in Salina, Kansas, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Sharlene (Hall) Feltis.
On April 24, 1988, she was married to Brian DeFord, who survives.
Kathy was retired from Small Parts where she had worked as a team leader. She was also employed by Pizza Hut.
Surviving with her husband, Brian, is her loving family: children, Stephanie (Adrian) Strong, David (Elizabeth) Scott, Danny (Samantha) Scott, and Randy Scott; her stepmother, Carole Feltis; siblings, Edward Feltis, Kim Strong, and Genie Aucker; and several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Kelly Barbour, and a grandson, Austin Scott.
A Memorial Service celebrating Kathy’s life will be held at a 6 PM March 23, 2026 at Fisher Funeral Chapel.
A visitation will be from 4 to 6 PM prior to the service.
