Jean Ann Viney, 82, of Logansport, passed away at 3:16 p.m. on February 16, 2026, at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo.

Born November 27, 1943, in Monticello, Indiana, Jean was the daughter of Wilbur Harner and Donna Culp, both of whom preceded her in death.On July 14, 2001, she married John F. Viney, and together they shared nearly 25 years of marriage.

Family meant everything to Jean. She was a fiery lady with a strong spirit, deeply devoted to her loved ones, especially her grandchildren and her beloved pets. Sunday dinners were special occasions in her home, bringing everyone together around the table.

Jean took pride in always looking her best; her hair and nails were never neglected, and she loved getting dolled up. She enjoyed reading, working puzzles, playing solitaire, and in her younger years, creating ceramics. She was a great cook and found joy in caring for her family.

Surviving are her husband, John F. Viney; children, William Strik and Jeanna Hogrefe; grandchildren, Heather Rowan, Nicole Kopka, Mikayla Strik, Zachary Reed, and John Strik; seven great-grandchildren; and her sister, Luella Huse.

A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:00 am – 1:00 PM Monday February 23, 2026, in the Gundrum Funeral Home.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Gundrum Funeral Home & Crematory.
