Info for Logansport residents on missing trash totes

We have received a few calls in the Mayor & Code Enforcement offices from City residents regarding missing totes. For the past month we have had several days with strong winds in our area. Our trash company as well as our Code Enforcement is not able to drive around in the areas and search for called in totes.

As a reminder all totes both trash and recycle totes have a number on them that goes with each residential address. This is a great way to determine where the tote belongs when finding one out of its original place. If you don’t know your tote number, call 574-753-2551 or email mayorsoffice@cityoflogansport.org .

Also, to avoid missing totes if you are able to get your totes back into a safe spot soon after they are emptied this is helpful. If your neighbor is working, elderly, not home or simply not able to get their totes in a timely manner perhaps you could help to move theirs back for them.

We are asking residents calling about missing totes to please go out and search your areas for these totes. If you have an extra tote sitting in your area and doesn’t belong there please call the Mayors office at 574-753-2551 or email mayorsoffice@cityoflogansport.org to report and someone will come out to pick it up.
