Pop Up in the Parks: April 2026 programming brings people outdoors into the Logansport Parks

Logansport Parks & Recreation is inviting the community to step outside and connect in April with Pop Up in the Parks, a month-long series of programs designed to encourage exploration, creativity, and togetherness across Logansport’s parks and facilities.

April programming includes a mix of outdoor adventures, family activities, wellness programs, and community conversations—offering something for all ages and interests.

Featured April events include:

● Celebrate National Walking Day Wednesday, April 1, 2:00 -4:30 p.m. | Huston Park | This free, family-friendly event encourages residents to take a step toward better health by coming together for an afternoon of movement, connection, and community wellness.

● Easter Egg Hunt for Every Pup Saturday, April 4, 10a.m.-12 p.m. | Wright Street Bark Park, Muehlhausen Park | A free tail-wagging event designed just for pups and their humans! Bring your furry friend to sniff, search, and “hunt” for eggs filled with tasty dog treats hidden around the park in a fun, relaxed environment.

● Senior Zumba Tuesdays | 10 a.m. | McHale Complex, Riverside Park | Senior Zumba is a low-impact fitness class designed to support mobility, balance, and overall wellness in a fun, inclusive group setting.

● Earth Day Fest Saturday, April 18 | 10 a.m. –2 p.m. | Riverside Park | Earth Day Fest is a FREE family experience to celebrate, learn, and enjoy everything about what our Earth can do for us, and what we can do for it. We’re partnering with the Cass County Soil & Water Conservation District and so many more community partners to bring resources and recreation together for this amazing day at Riverside Park.

● Logansport Leashes: Walk A Dog, Find a Friend Tuesdays & Thursdays, in April | Noon-4 p.m. | Various Parks | Logansport Parks & Recreation is excited to partner with the Cass County Humane Society to launch Logansport Leashes, a new community program that connects people, parks, and pups in need of loving homes. Beginning in April, community members ages 18 and older can sign up online at LogansportParks.com to spend time with an adoptable dog from the Cass County Humane Society.

● Community Coffee Talk Wednesday, May 6 | 5 p.m. | Penman Building | Community Coffee Talk is a monthly gathering for residents to meet, share ideas, and enjoy conversation over coffee. The informal setting encourages connection and open discussion about community life.
