Marcelyn A. “Marcy” Deisher

Marcelyn A. “Marcy” Deisher, age 69, Logansport, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026, in IU Heath Arnett.

Born in Logansport January 11, 1957, she was the daughter of John and Marybelle Spencer Howard.

She was married to Jackie Deisher in Logansport on September 30, 1978. He survives.

Marcy was a 1975 graduate of Logansport High School. Her husband, Jackie, proposed marriage via military radio when she was in Logansport and he was stationed in West Germany, serving in the United States Air Force. During his career she was, as he said, “the perfect military wife”.

Marcy enjoyed baking, cooking, sewing and playing UNO. More than anything she enjoyed family get-togethers and dearly loved her children and grandchildren.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are sons, John Deisher, Logansprot, Joshua (LeighAnn) Deisher, Sturgeon Bay, Wisc., daughter, Schlene (TJ) DeWitt, Logansport; three grandchildren, Madelyn Deisher, Noah Deisher, Boston DeWitt.

Also surviving are a brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Susie Howard, Oklahoma, and sisters-in-law, Carol Howard (deceased husband, Doug), Connie Howard (deceased husband, Larry), Deb Howard (deceased husband, Sam);  many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by another brother, Don.

The graveside service for family and friends is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April22, 2026, at Mount Hope Cemetery. Rev. Doug Thomas will officiate. Interment will follow.
