Thomas John “TJ” Ashcraft passed away peacefully at home on April 24th at 1:16a.m., surrounded by his loved ones, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

TJ was a devoted father, a loyal friend, and a hard worker who dedicated 42 years to Wilsons, IBP, now Tyson Foods. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life- hunting deer and mushrooms in the woods, finding treasures at yard sales, and crafting beautiful woodworking projects for his friends. One of his greatest joys was the annual fishing trip to Wisconsin with his buddies, a tradition that brought him endless laughter and memories.

Known for his optimism, TJ always saw the glass half full and inspired everyone around him to do the same. His strength, kindness, and unwavering positivity left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

TJ is survived by his beloved daughter Megan Ashcraft, his son-in-law Kenneth Ashcraft, and his dearest friends Mike Filmore, Karen Martin, Jeff Carlson, and Heath Sommers. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Kroeger-Crain Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m.to 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Mike Stow will officiate.
