Logansport Parks Board to discuss a federal grant application to benefit Riverside Park improvements

The Logansport Parks & Recreation Board will hold a “Public Meeting” on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. in the Common Council Chambers of the City Building at 601 East Broadway, Logansport, Indiana.

The topic of discussion will focus on the submission of a federal grant application for the Land & Water Conservation Fund regarding the proposed renovations at Riverside Park. Renovations to be discussed include a new playground, an event pavilion, a perimeter trail surrounding a multi-use field, additional parking, access to the Eel River via a boardwalk and/or an improved public access site for kayaks and canoes.

In addition, the Logansport Parks Department will provide opportunities for the public to share their ideas and concerns for the project at the July 4th celebration at Riverside Park, and at the Cass County 4H Fair July 6th and 7th at the Logansport Re-Imagined booth. The community will also have an opportunity to respond to a survey online through Facebook beginning July 1st through the 8th.
