Judith K. “Judy” Howard, age 76, of Logansport, passed away Friday July 3, 2026, in Parkview Logansport Hospital, surrounded by her family, after a long battle with MS.
Judy was born on September 11, 1949, in Rochester, IN to Raymond and Vera F. (Hubenthal) Pickens. On June 24, 1989, in Logansport she married David G. Howard who survives.
Judy retired from Elco/Textron Industries after several years of dedicated service. She was a faithful member of the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church. Judy enjoyed bird watching, scrap booking, gathering with classmates and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
Other survivors, including her husband Dave, are her mother, Vera F. Pickens, Logansport; two sons, Jeff (Mary Blackburn) Baker, Logansport; and Brad (Shalan) Baker, Royal Center; two sisters, Patricia (Scott) Jones, Kentucky; Vicki Ayers, Lucerne; one brother, Richard (Candi) Pickens, Michigan; 2 grandchildren, Macee and Jackson Baker; bonus daughter, Sheryl Wilson; two bonus grandchildren, Kaylin and Sarah Longardner; and several nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her father, Raymond, one daughter, Robin Baker, two brothers-in-law’s, Dr. James Ayers and Robert Edward “Sonny” Cosner Jr..
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 3 – 7 pm Tuesday July 7, 2026 in the Gundrum Funeral Home and also 1 hour prior to services on Wednesday at the church.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday July 8, 2026, in the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church with Pastor Theda McBryde officiating. A burial will follow at Metea Cemetery.
