Mark Allen Trafny, age 57, of Logansport, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Mark was born on September 26, 1968, in Gary, Indiana, to the late John Phillip and Dolly Marie (Fitzgerald) Trafny. On April 9, 1994, in Portage, Indiana, he married the love of his life, Brenda Lee Gilbert, who survives him.
Mark spent much of his life behind the wheel as a self-employed truck driver, proudly logging more than a million miles over the road. His work took him many places, but some of his greatest joys were found in the simple things—being outdoors, surrounded by nature, building a fire, and spending time with the people he loved most.
He had a passion for motorcycles and music. Mark was also a proud United States Marine Corps veteran, a part of his life and identity that he carried with great pride.
Above all, Mark cherished his family. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Brenda, and his three daughters: Tabitha (Blake) McCan of Elkhart, Indiana; Michelle (Jason) Meyer of North Carolina; and Sabrina (Austin) Sheetz of Logansport, Indiana. He is also survived by five beloved grandchildren, three brothers, Pat (Judy) Trafny of North Judson, Indiana; John Phillip (Gaye) Trafny of California; and Billy (Brenda) Trafny of Valparaiso, Indiana; as well as one niece and seven nephews.
Mark was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
At Mark’s request, there will be no services. His family takes comfort in remembering the life he lived, the miles he traveled, the stories he shared, and the love he gave to those around him.
Gundrum Funeral Home and Cass County Crematory are honored to serve the Trafny family.
