JOB SUMMARY:
TDM Farms, the hog production division of Hog Slat, Incorporated, is seeking full-time individuals to join the team in the Logansport, IN area as Load Out/ Vaccination Crew Members. Previous on-farm hog production experience is a plus, but not necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as business conditions change.
Load semi-trucks with market hogs
Vaccinate feeder pigs
Ability to adherence to TDM’s established bio-security protocol
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
The IDEAL CANDIDATE will have the following experience/educational background:
A strong commitment to the safe and humane treatment of animals using approved handling techniques is required
Experience in safe animal handling practices
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
Valid driver’s license
Willingness to learn proper animal welfare practices
