Here are details on a few upcoming youth sports, programs and activities happening in Cass County, Indiana during the fall / winter of 2023. Fall Break Camp
Cass County Family Y
Fall break is almost here and the question is, do you know what your kids are going to do while they are out of school? Don’t hit the panic button just yet! The Cass County Family Y has your answer – Fall Break Camp! Open registration is underway for grades K-5, so hurry in and register today.

When: Oct. 16-20, 2023
Registration Deadline: October 13, 2023
Time: 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Members: $100/week (2nd child discount rate $85/week)
Nonmembers: $150/week
Financial Assistance is available. Stop in for an application. Please allow two weeks for processing.
Bring: Sack lunch and tennis shoes

Youth Basketball League
Youth Basketball League will be an 8-week program. Each team will have one scheduled team practice during the week with games on Saturday mornings. This league will focus on skill sets, sportsmanship and character development. Ages K-5th grades.

Volunteer coaches needed

Park in a Box
The Logansport Parks & Recreation Department has announced two (2) Fall Break “Park in a Box” programs. Park in a Box is a one (1) hour program that combines fun and education in the Logansport Parks. Monday, October 16 from 6-7:30 p.m. at McHale Complex at Riverside Park-1212 Riverside Drive, join Michelle and Nathan Allen and Cass County Rocks for an hour of painting. Wednesday, October 18 from 10-11 a.m. at Dykeman Park-190 Eberts Rd., join Aly Irvin from Plant Therapy to discuss spooky plants and creepy crawlies. Both programs are free to the public. Pre-registration is requested at www.logansportparks.com.

Fall Art Classes
The Logansport Parks & Recreation Department has announced the schedule for fall Art classes with Heidi Kitchel. The art classes will be held at the Penman Service Center at 1701 Dividend Drive on Monday, October 23, Tuesday, October 24, and Wednesday, October 25, 2023.

There are two (2) sessions to choose from. Session one from 5-6pm for ages 5-10 years, and session two from 6:30-7:30pm for ages 11-15 years.

Art projects for session one will include: clay bobble heads, cherry blossom painting, and spooky night pumpkins. Art projects for session two will include: plaster canvases, mandala stones, and pumpkin on canvas. Registration is required, and the cost is $30.
