Harold D. Wilson

wilsonHarold D. Wilson, 92 of Monticello passed away at 2:05 a.m., Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Woodbridge Health Campus in Logansport.

Born on November 8, 1922 in Grass Creek, he was the son of the late Roy T. and Helen (Burton) Wilson.

He married Louise Reid in 1946 and she preceded in death in 1997. He later married Betty J. Pugh in 2002 and she survives.

Harold worked in all different phases of farming and he also raised Holstein replacement heifers.  He was a former plant manager at Herd Seeder Company and he later retired from the Logansport State Hospital as an Electrical Supervisor after 19 years.

He was a member of REMC Board for 29 years and the State Wide REMC Board for 10 years, he was also a former Pioneer School Board member for 7 years.  Harold was a 50 year member of Eagles Lodge #323 and Moose Lodge #232.

He was a member of Indian Creek Christian Church where he formerly served as an Elder, Superintendent and Sunday School teacher.  He also attended Monticello Christian Church.

Harold enjoyed dancing, playing euchre and boating and fishing in Florida.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Wilson of Monticello, son, William “Bill” Wilson of Logansport, granddaughter, Ashley M. Wilson Scott (Duane) of Logansport, grandson, William R. “BJ” Wilson of Logansport, 2 great grandchildren, Carter Scott and Cora Belle Scott, step daughter, Jamie L. Pearson (David) of Attica and step granddaughters, Jackie L. Pearson and Jennie L. Pearson.  He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by brothers, Ralph E. Wilson and Forrest Wilson and sisters, Ruth Weaver
and Hazel Wilson.

Memorial Services will be at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Indian Creek Christian Church with Pastor Chris Dawson officiating.

Interment will be at Indian Creek Christian Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Indian Creek Christian Cemetery.
