henisaJuanita M. Henisa, 78, of Logansport, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Peru.

Born on November 5, 1936 in Peru, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Hazel (Murphy) Smith.  On November 27, 1952 in Kokomo, she married Harold Henisa who preceded in death on March 7, 2015.

Juanita worked for T.M. Morris. She was a 1967 graduate of Riverside High School in California, and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.  She enjoyed baking wedding cakes, and organizing dinners for church functions.

Surviving are two sons, Steve (Coleen) Henisa, Oklahoma; Keith (Carol) Henisa, Peru; daughter, Janice Sue (Phillip) Sullivan, Marion; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother; and one sister.

A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at the Peru First Church of the Nazarene located at 331 West 6th Street in Peru.  Rev. Floyd Laabs will be officiating.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM on Thursday also at the Peru First Church of the Nazarene.

Memorials may be made to the Peru First Church of the Nazarene.
