Robert Lee Shoup, 77, of Logansport, passed away Saturday Aug. 15, 2015 in Woodbridge Health Campus.
Born on March 26, 1938 in Cass County, he was the son of the late Albert and Gladys Doud Shoup.
On September 7, 1958 in Metea Baptist Church Bob married Elsie M. Button who preceded in death on Nov. 25, 2008.
Bob was a 1956 graduate of Metea High School and a member of the Metea Baptist Church. He was an avid bowler and fisherman. He also enjoyed horseshoes and playing cards.
Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Shoup, Lucerne; Janet (Micheal) Ousley, Columbia City; one son, Jeff Shoup, Muncie; one sister, Clara Alice Troutman, Logansport; two grandchildren, Kyle (Ashton) Ousley, Fort Wayne; Katherine Turner, Maitland, FL; three great grandchildren, Kamryn Turner, Mason Turner and Parker Ousley; and several nieces and nephews.
One daughter, Sandra Shoup, and one brother, James E. Shoup, preceded in death
A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday August 19, 2015 at the Gundrum Funeral Home
with burial to follow in the Metea Cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 4 – 8 pm Tuesday August 18, 2015 at the Gundrum Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Metea Baptist Church.
