Marjorie A. Goltry, 87, of Royal Center, passed away peacefully at 1:30 a.m., Friday, September 18, 2015 at The Arbor in Logansport.
Born December 10, 1927 in Royal Center, she was the daughter of the late Hiram “HN” and Viva (Baughman) Harvey.
On August 12, 1950, she married Lowell E. Goltry, he survives.
She was a 1945 Royal Center High School graduate.
Marge retired from Pioneer School Corporation where she worked in the Superintendent’s office for 25 years. She was also a homemaker.
She was a life member of Royal Center United Methodist Church and she was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Marge was also an avid Cubs fan.
Survivors include her loving husband and best friend, Lowell “Goat” Goltry of Royal Center, son, Gregory Goltry (Janet) of Royal Center, sister, Mary Henry of Royal Center, daughter in law, Rebecca Partin of Royal Center, 4 grandchildren, Linnea Lebo (Cody), Sarah Franklin (Lee), Lisa Daily (Neil) and Austin Goltry (Abigail) and 5 great grandchildren, Cole Franklin, Jenna Franklin, Brynlee Franklin, Hallie Lebo
and Jalynn Lebo.
She was also preceded in death by son, David Goltry, brother, Clyde Harvey and his wife Mary and sister, Thora Messerly and her husband Charles, and brother in law, Fred Henry.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 21, 2015 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel with Pastor Tim McKaig officiating.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 6 p.m., Sunday, September 20, 2015 at the funeral home where there will also be Order of Easter Star Service at 6:00 p.m.
Burial will be at Royal Center Cemetery.
