Frances S. Ashcraft

ashcraft_fFrances S. Ashcraft, age 89, Logansport, passed away at 8:00 a.m., on Thursday, October 22, 2015, in The Arbor.

Born in Omaha, Neb, on March 2, 1926, she was the daughter of Thomas and Sophie M. Sesko Kelly.

On June 8, 1946, in Omaha, she was married to Thomas H. Ashcraft, who preceded her in death on November 19, 1999.

She retired in 1962 after 17 years working on the bacon line for Wilson Foods, in Omaha.

Frances loved animals and regularly donated to the Humane Society.  She had a great sense of humor, and also loved being surrounded by her family and friends.  She was always looking out for others.

She enjoyed watching TV Westerns, spending time with her dog, Tiger, and going to rummage sales.

Surviving are a son, Thomas J. Ashcraft (companion, Karen Martin), and granddaughter, Megan R. Ashcraft (companion, Kenneth Anderson), all of Logansport.

The visitation will be at Kroeger Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon.

The service will follow, on Tuesday, at Ever-Rest Memorial Park at 12:30 p.m., with Father Dominic Petan officiating.

Entombment will follow the service.
