Sandra K. Vitello, 73, of Logansport, passed away at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015, in her home.
Born June 3, 1942, in Buffalo, New York, she was the daughter of the late Jerry and Mary Callaway.
The Callaway family moved to Logansport in 1944. Sandra was a 1961 graduate of Logansport High School.
Sandra had a very strong work ethic, retiring after 42 years of service with General Tire/Trelleborg Corporation.
She is survived by two sons Shane G. Vitello and his partner Fran Antrim of Logansport, and Eric B. Vitello of
Westfield,IN.; her former daughter-in-law Tammy Provost Vitello ofWestfield; one grandson Cole C. Vitello of
Westfield, IN.; two sisters, Betty Slater of Pennsylvania and Donna Bothum and her husband George of Florida;
one nephew Dave Slater; and a very dear cousin, Jack Newberry of Florida.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Pat Johnson and Sandra’s former husband Frank Vitello.
Sandra left instructions to thank her children, friends and neighbors in Westfield for all the good times. She and her
family especially appreciated Dr. Marval, Dr. Janelle Miller and Dr. James Miller along with their exceptional staff.
Special thanks is also given to Sandra’s “rug rats” Chad Walker and Corina.
