Jerry Lee “Doc” Bailey

baileyJerry Lee “Doc” Bailey, age 68, Logansport, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2016, at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Born April 5, 1947, in Noblesville, he was the son of Orville and Norma Klingensmith Bailey.

Doc had been employed for twenty years at Wilson Foods. He then was employed at Small Parts. He especially enjoyed volunteering at Memorial Hospital.

He was active in 4-H and raised rabbits. He also coached softball. Doc was a member of the Yorktown Road Church of Christ.

Surviving are daughters, Ann Bailey-Nalley (Wayne), Crawfordsville, Kimberly Bailey-Helble (Robert), North Little Rock, AR, Heather Wallace-Lewis, Logansport; brothers, Larry Bailey (Cheryl) Logansport, Wes Bailey, Delphi; sisters, Judy Bailey-Morgan (Dave) Broomfield, CO, and Jeane Boyles (Ken) Thorton, CO.

Also surviving are grandchildren, Eric Nalley, Sara Giesler, Zakary Wallace, Kandice Wallace, Mark Tyler Lowe (Holly), Tabitha Brennan, Justin Lowe (Morgan), Tomas “Tommy” Pena and Aidan Lewis; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A grandson, Timothy Lowe, and a son, Shane Wallace, preceded him in death.

The funeral service will be a 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at Kroeger Funeral Home. Minister Tim Allen will officiate.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, prior to the funeral, also at the funeral home.
