Richard “Dick” L. Griffith

griffithRichard “Dick” L. Griffith, 68, of Logansport, went home to be with the Lord, with his family by his side, on Saturday Feb. 27, 2016 at 7:55 pm in Chase Center.

Born Oct. 25, 1947 in Logansport to the late Robert S. and Pauline C. (Hill) Griffith. On May 21, 1966 in Logansport, he married the Love of his life, Doris Collins, who survives, they would have celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary this year.

Dick retired from Security Federal Savings Bank after serving 37 years as Senior Vice President in the loan department. He enjoyed hiking, coin clubs, stamp collecting, fishing, spending time at France Park and family gatherings.

Other survivors including his wife are two sons, Greg Griffith and fiancé Carol, Logansport; Mike (Tina) Griffith, Logansport; one daughter, Amy (Jim) Marlatt, Murfreesboro, TN; seven grandchildren, Zach Griffith and fiancé Kirby, Kokomo; Jessica (Matt) Hettinger, Katie Griffith, Chris (Dannan) Griffith and Brooke Griffith and fiancé Ethen, all of Logansport; Austin Marlatt and Kyra Marlatt, both of Murfreesboro, TN; two great grandsons, Graham Hettinger, Logansport; Brantley Griffith, Kokomo; one great grandson, Baby Griffith on the way; several nieces and nephews; several brother-in laws and sister-in-laws.

One brother, Larry Griffith, preceded in death.

A celebration of life will be held at 10:45 am Wednesday March 2, 2016 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Eric Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in the Davis Cemetery at Burnettsville, IN

Visitation hours will be from 4 – 8 pm Tuesday at the Gundrum Funeral Home.
