Violet Kathleen “Katie” Davis, 88, of Logansport, passed away at 11:47 a.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Woodbridge Health Campus in Logansport.
Born on June 6, 1927 in White County, she was the daughter of the late Virgil and Opal (Eisert) Huffman.
On June 25, 1949, Violet married Ivan H. Davis. He preceded her in death on January 16, 1997.
Katie was a homemaker and she had formerly worked at Indiana Bell Telephone Company, Sears and Walgreens. She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading and most all spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children, Stephen Davis of Logansport and Jeanette Goodnight of Logansport, grandchildren; Shawna Goodnight, Joanna Jacobsen Joshua Davis, Stacy Spencer, Winter Shidler, Denise, Daphne and Dusty and great grandchildren, Lexie Goodnight, Tyler John, Jayln, Katelynn, Ashley, Darien, Evan, Adam, Brayden, Alexis, Kaylob and Diamond. Katie is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by daughter, Carol D. Davis, brother, Gene and sisters, Marilyn and Carol Ann.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 15, 2016 at Marocco-Rans Funeral Chapel with Pastor Adam Speicher and Frank Pilley officiating.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, February 14, 2016 at the funeral home.
Entombment will be at Ever Rest Memorial Park.
