Patricia Joan “Pat” Dockerty

Patricia Joan “Pat” Dockerty, 77, of Logansport, passed away peacefully at 11:10 a.m. Sunday, March 20, 2016, in her home.
Born June 19, 1938, in Niagra, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late James and Emma (Benham) Dockerty.
Pat was 1957 graduate of Logansport High School. She worked at the Logansport State Hospital for many years. After retiring, she worked in private nursing care for seniors. Pat also worked in the recreation department at the Jellystone Park in Plymouth, Indiana. She loved working with all the children she met and her Jellystone co-workers.
Her best memories involved sitting around a campfire with her friends. Pat loved camping, fishing, bicycle riding and playing Bingo. Pat also had a special dog, Princess, who was always at her side to the very end.
Surviving are a close friend, Janet Baker of Logansport; three brothers and sisters-in-law, James (Lucy) Dockerty, and Marvin (Phyllis) Dockerty, all of Kokomo and Wayne (Tammy) Dockerty, of Marion; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Anna Fitz, of Kokomo and Norma (Bud) Rogers, of Sharpsville; and many nieces and nephews, who she loved very much.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Hillis Bob and Lawrence Dockerty and sisters, Ellen Gunther and Wilma Aderman.
A funeral service celebrating the life of Pat Dockerty will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 24 , at Fisher Funeral Chapel with with Rev.Joel Flowers officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.
Friends may call from noon to the time of the service Thursday in the funeral chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cass County Humane Society.
