Alice S. Moeloa

Alice S. Moeloa, 64, Logansport, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016, in Chase Center, surrounded by her family following a brief illness.

Born October 4, 1951, in   White County, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Nethercutt and Hilda (Cowgill) Nethercutt Brewer.  She was also the stepdaughter of the late Raymond Brewer.

A graduate of  Pioneer High School,  Alice had owned and operated “A Stitch in Time” since 1990.  She was an excellent seamstress, creating many bridal gowns, baptismal gowns and prom dresses for clients all across this area.  Alice could fix anything as she worked on alterations for bridal shops and dry cleaners.  She also sewed for the local high school music departments and the Junior Civic Theatre.

Alice was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  She spent countless hours researching genealogy and was a wealth of information. She was a proud military mom with two sons having served in our Nation’s Armed Forces

Surviving are five children: Kent (Erin) Moeloa of Colorado, Melinda (Mitch) Eldridge, Tony Moeloa and Christina (Ryan) Miller, all of Logansport, and Daniel (Jaime) Moeloa of Garrett, IN;  two brothers, James (Laura) Nethercutt and Daniel (Mary) Nethercutt; one sister, Linda (Mervin) Nisley; and thirteen grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Clyde Nethercutt.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Alice Moeloa will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 21, 2016, in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 4121 High Street. Church President Brent Kepner will officiate.

Burial will follow in Davis Cemetery, near Burnettsville.

Visitation hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 20 in Fisher Funeral Chapel and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
