Betty L. Johnson, age 87, Logansport, passed away at 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at her residence.
Born June 30, 1928, in Fairbury, NE, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Arlie Howland Leonard.
She was married in Fairbury, NE, on December 22, 1946, to Buford Johnson, who preceded her in death on October 16, 1991.
Betty had been employed at CVS Pharmacy (formerly Hook’s Drugs). Prior to that she had been employed at Young’s TV and Appliances.
Betty was a member of the Logansport Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Betty had been a member of the Cass County Humane Society and VFW Post 3790 Auxiliary. She loved animals.
Surviving are a son, John (Susan) Johnson, Oregon, OH; daughter, Phyllis (Michael) Roecker, St. Anne, IL; sister, Jean Shane, Wahoo, NE; grandsons, Scott Roecker and Stephen Johnson; several nieces and nephews.
A brother, Lawrence “Junior” Leonard preceded her in death.
A private family service was held. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cass County Humane Society or A Cause for Paws.
Kroeger Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
