Larry Joe Bailey

baileyLarry Joe Bailey, 71, Logansport, passed away at 7:50 a.m., on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, in Miller’s Merry Manor.

Born in San Francisco on September 10, 1944, he was the son of Orville and Norma Jean Klingensmith Bailey.

On April 3, 1965, he was married to Cheryl Wilson at the Deer Creek Presbyterian Church by the late Rev. Dallas Landrum. His wife survives, residing in Logansport.

Larry had been a fork truck operator employed at Wilson Foods for 22-1/2 years, then at SIA for 14-1/2 years.  He had served with the Indiana National Guard.

Also surviving are son, Troy Lynn (A. J.) Bailey, Davenport, Florida; brother, Wesley J. Bailey, Delphi; sisters, Judith Ann (David) Morgan, Broomfield, Colorado and Arvilla Jeane (Kenneth) Boyles, Thornton, Colorado; step grandson, Skyler Lincoln; granddaughters, Rebecca Bailey-Pelnar (Chris), and Faraby Bailey; great-grandchildren, Alexandria Pelnar and one expected great-grandchild;  several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jerry ‘Doc’ Bailey.

Visitation will be on Sunday, April 17, 2016, at Kroeger Funeral Home from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. on Monday at the Church.

The funeral service will be held at Life Gate Church on Monday, April 18, 2016, at 10:30 a.m., with Pastor Andy Weil and Pastor Randall Goss officiating.

Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery in Deer Creek.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Benevolence Fund or Missions Fund of Life Gate Church, 831 Burlington Avenue, Logansport, IN 46947.
