huffMary L. Huff, 93, a lifelong resident of Logansport, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, in The Arbor at Memorial Hospital.
On February 17, 1923, she was born in Logansport to Guiseppe and Edith Merli Pesaresi. Mary attended St. Vincent’s Catholic School and Logansport High School. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church.

She married Ova Huff in Salina, Kansas on June 26, 1943. They would have celebrated their 73rd anniversary this June.

Mary loved being around family and friends. She enjoyed playing bingo and mostly, euchre. She was an amazing cook and homemaker. She worked as an inspector at National Friction for several years. Mary loved to laugh and spent many happy afternoons with friends at the Senior Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Walter, Joseph, Silvio, and Albert Pesaresi and her only sister, Lena Sammons.
She leaves behind her husband, Ova and brother, Carl Pesaresi;  son, James Huff (Gail), Morgantown; daughter, Connie Tribbett (Don), Logansport; a special niece Jane Sammons (Joe), Logansport; seven grandchildren, Dana Zimmerman (Troy), ; Melissa (Brad) Sommers; Jennifer Kistler (Bryan); Jason Huff (Jennifer); Mindy Singley (Skip) all of Logansport; Corey Gullion, Chicago; and Caroline Gullion, Chicago; 12 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 25, at All Saints Catholic Church, with Father Dominic Petan officiating.

Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. on Monday at Kroeger Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to All Saints Catholic Church or Emmaus Mission Center.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of The Arbor for the love and care they provided. It is a truly amazing group of people!
