Virginia R. MoorVirginia R. Moor, 88, Logansport, passed away at 11:10 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2016, at Chase Center.
Born March 9, 1928, in Alva, OK, she was the daughter of Oscar and Rosetta Nafziger Berg.

She was married to Marion L. Moor, who preceded in death on January 31, 1993.

Virginia was a graduate of Wellington (Kansas) High School and attended the former Rudae’s Beauty College in Logansport.

Virginia had been employed at Muehlhausen Spring Company. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Evansville and the Foursquare Gospel Church in Logansport. She loved to read the Bible, loved to pray and loved the Lord. She was an accomplished soloist at church and at one time sang in Billy Graham’s choir.

In addition, she enjoyed crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, quilting, playing cards and especially laughing. She was an ardent Chicago Cubs fan.

Surviving are sons, Hollis L. (Rita) Moor, Twelve Mile, Mark A. (Lynne) Moor, Logansport; daughters, Elisabeth “Lisa” (Tom) Powell, Logansport, Lydia (Kevin) Walters, Apple Valley, MN; grandchildren, Christopher Honick, Shane Powell, Rachel (Jeffery) Savage, Adam (Cortney) Powell, Lauren (Mark) Phipps, Kevin Walters, Jr., Kayla Valdez (fiancé Phillip Jones) and Mitchell (April) Valdez.

Also surviving are seven great grandchildren, Jack Phipps, David Phipps, Kate Phipps, Elsa Phipps, Nicole Savage, Braelynne Powell and Morgan Rigle; and a number of nieces and nephews

Four brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 12th, at Kroeger Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, also at the funeral home, with Pastor Sharol Eaker and Pastor Guy Woodhouse officiating.

A family graveside service followed by full interment will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. (CST), on Saturday, May 14th, at historic Oak Hill Cemetery in Evansville.
