Last Updated on October 13, 2016 by cassnetwork

The Light Up Logansport Parade returns at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 25, 2016 in downtown Logansport. Participation from the community is vital to the success of this event.

An informational meeting for anyone interested in participating in this year’s event will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13 at the Logansport Parks & Recreation Department, 1701 Dividend Dr. (across from Huston Park).

Anyone interested in having a float or marching unit in this year’s parade should visit https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdRQR7ClcA-s5QKPhIDuW4nBtgwhA1CdtL3BfB-ByqFJ-BtDQ/viewform?c=0&w=1 and complete the parade entry form. There is no fee to participate. Entries from churches, schools, families, businesses, organizations and more are welcome, including those from surrounding communities.

The theme of this year’s parade is “Indiana’s Bicentennial.” Parade entries should incorporate Indiana’s 200th birthday in some way.

The parade committee is also recruiting volunteers to assist along the parade route on Friday, Nov. 25. If your business or organization is looking for a service project, or if you are an individual who would be willing to volunteer, please e-mail lightuplogansport@gmail.com.
