You may not see his name in lights, but you may see it on a chyron on a television station near you.
Logansport’s Seth Tocco, who recently graduated from Ball State University with a telecommunications degree, has accepted a position with WNDU television on the campus of the University of Notre Dame in South Bend.
Tocco, a Logansport High School graduate, had extensive experience in front of a camera at Ball State and later interned with WLFI in Lafayette. At Logansport, he was active in speech team.
This week, he has been named Logansport Citizen of the Week.
“Seth is another success story who really got his start as a student involved in speech in high school,” Mayor Dave Kitchell said today. “He’s received many honors because he was able to accomplish so much in college, but he was able to get a great start because of the opportunities afforded him at LHS.”
Tocco will receive a certificate from the Mayor’s Office and a $20 gift certificate to a local restaurant.
The Citizen of the Week program is sponsored by the Mayor’s Office and recognizes local residents, natives or former residents.
