A long-time Logansport area organization has offered financial support for the redevelopment of a park in the heart of the city.
United Commercial Travelers made a presentation to Mayor Dave Kitchell at West Side Diner last week. Charles Short presented the city with a $250 check for work related to the redevelopment of Riverside Park. The announcement came during the organization’s recognition of local students who produced winning public safety posters.
“UCT and its members are yet another example of the people who support our children and families and decent city amenities,” the mayor said. “We’re grateful for their support and contribution as we begin funding and completing a mini master plan to redevelop Riverside Park.”
