Last Updated on July 12, 2019 by cassnetwork

On Friday, July 12, 2019, at approximately 12:03 PM Cass County Central Dispatch received a call of a roll over crash at County Road 900 North and County Road 925 West. Sheriff Ed Schroder, Major Kevin Pruiett, Deputy Brenton McDonald and Detective Joe Nies responded to the crash along with Royal Center Fire and Prompt Ambulance Service. Initial investigation found a single vehicle rollover crash.

Preliminary investigation by Major Kevin Pruiett found Cameron Patrick, 25, of rural Knox, IN, had been driving a 2017 four-door Ford Fusion eastbound on County Road 900 North when he lost control of his vehicle. Patrick’s vehicle traveled off the north side of the roadway before crossing back to the south side of the roadway and rolling over multiple times and coming to rest in a corn field. Speed was believed to be a factor in the crash.

Lutheran Helicopter was requested at the scene by medical personnel to airlift Mr. Patrick to Lutheran Trauma Center in Fort Wayne.

Also, the Logansport Police Department assisted at the scene.

The crash is still under investigation by the Cass County Sheriff’s office. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 574-753-7800.
