A familiar face in Logansport banking is retiring with the city’s recognition of her impact on the community.
Angie Berry was honored Friday at Horizon Bank on her retirement.
Logansport Mayor Dave Kitchell has named her Citizen of the Week for her many contributions.
“Angie has been active in the Chamber of Commerce and has been one of the stakeholders who have remained positive through the recession years Logansport experienced,” he said. “We’re glad to have people like her who are optimistic not only about the future, but Logansport’s place in it. She’s among many examples of people who personify community service and doing the necessary important things people aren’t paid to do that pay dividends for our community when it comes to progress.”
She will receive a $20 gift certificate to a local restaurant and a certificate from the Mayor’s Office.
The Citizen of the Week program is sponsored by the Mayor’s Office and recognizes residents, natives and former residents.
