On the eve of the busiest weekend of the year at Logansport/Cass County Airport, a senior employee there has been recognized for her contributions.

Rose Wagoner, administrative assistant for the airport, has been named Logansport Citizen of the Week.

“Our community has been fortunate to have a loyal employee watching out for the airport interests,” Mayor Dave Kitchell said Friday. “She’s been called upon to do virtually everything that has to be done at the airport, and it has prospered in part because of her.”

A native of Kokomo, Rose grew up in a military family and spent her early years in Colorado. Her family returned to Indiana and Rose assumed her position at the former Logansport Municipal Airport in 1976. She has one adult child and three grandchildren, and is a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church and the Experimental Aircraft Association.

The Citizen of the Week is sponsored by the Mayor’s Office and recognizes local natives, current and former residents. Recipients receive a certificate from the Mayor’s Office and a $20 gift certificate to a local restaurant.
