STATEHOUSE – State Rep. Ethan Manning (R-Denver) was recently selected to serve as the vice chair of the House Utilities, Energy and Telecommunications Committee.
“Indiana needs to be a part of the global conversation surrounding the future of energy and telecommunications,” Manning said. “From expanding rural broadband to ensuring Hoosiers have safe drinking water, this committee examines some of the most essential services we use every day. With my previous experience on the committee and the 21st Century Energy Policy Development Task Force, I feel prepared to step into this new role.”
Manning will continue serving on the House Agriculture and Rural Development Committee and the House Public Health Committee.
Standing committees meet during the legislative session, which convenes each year in January. Committee hearings, which typically occur at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, can be viewed live online at iga.in.gov. This site also provides committee calendars and meeting agendas.
