????️ FALL PROPERTY TAXES DUE NOV. 12, 2019
The fall installment of property taxes is due on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019. The Cass County Government Building is closed Monday, Nov. 11 in observance of Veterans Day. Payments can be made in person at the Cass County Treasurers Office, located in room 104 of the Cass County Government Building. A dropbox is located on Court St. on the southeast side of the Cass County Government Building. More information about how to pay online is available at co.cass.in.us.
???? SPENCER PARK CLOSED TO VEHICLES THROUGH HOLIDAY SEASON
The Logansport Parks & Recreation Department has announced that Spencer Park will be closed to vehicle traffic beginning November 12 for the set-up of Christmas in the Park. Park users should plan to park their vehicles on the north side of High Street or near the lower pavilion to utilize the park. The Parks Department has requested that park users please stay away from vehicles and the Christmas décor going up in the Park. It could pose a danger especially to kids playing nearby. We do ask that all walkers please stay on the sidewalk and roadway. The park will remain closed to vehicle traffic throughout the holidays until the lighting décor has been removed. PUBLIC HEARING FOR MSRP
The City of Logansport will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019 at 5 p.m., in Logansport City Hall, 601 East Broadway, to provide interested parties an opportunity to express their views on the proposed federally-funded CDBG project. Later this month, the City of Logansport intends to apply to the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs for a grant from the State Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Main Street Revitalization Program (MSRP). These funds are to be used for a community development project that will include façade improvements within the designated Main Street district.
MEETING REGARDING JAIL RENOVATIONS
Cass County Commissioners will hold an informational meeting for the public regarding renovations of the Cass County Jail on Wednesday, November 13 at 6:00 p.m. in the Cass County 4-H Fairgrounds Community Center.
???? FREE CAROUSEL RIDES
A special event will be held Thursday, Nov. 14 in observance of World Diabetes Day. Ride the Cass County Carousel for free from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at grab the BLUE ring at this fun family event.
4-H INFORMATION NIGHTS
4-H Information Nights for families to learn more about 4-H and meet 4-H Leaders will be held on the following dates:
Thursday, Nov. 14 at Pioneer Elementary Music Room
Wednesday, Nov. 20 at the Cloverleaf Complex at the Cass County 4-H Fairgrounds. All events will take place at 6:30 p.m.
2019 ANGEL TREE & FOOD ASSISTANCE SIGNUPS
The Salvation Army of Logansport will hold 2019 Angel Tree and Food Assistance Sign Up Nov. 11 – 22.
Hours are Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Tuesday and Thursdays from 3-7 p.m. at The Salvation Army of Logansport, 620 Wilkinson St.
Items needed for Sign-up:
ID for all adults in the household
Proof of Current Address
ID for each child (Medicaid Card or School Registration or Birth Certificate)

IHSAA CLASS 2A FOOTBALL REGIONAL
On Friday, Nov. 15, 2019, Lewis Cass will travel to Andrean High School in Merrillville for the Class 2A Football Regional. Start time is 7 p.m. local time. Admission is $8 per person.
