A high wind warning is in effect from 4 a.m. to 9 p.m. EST Wednesday, Nov. 27 for Cass County and several surrounding counties.
The National Weather Service forecasts southwest winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph shifting west in the afternoon for portions of northern Indiana, southwest Michigan and
northwest Ohio.
IMPACTS…Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if
you must drive.
