Holiday Food and Toiletry Drive runs Nov. 20-Dec. 6, 2019 at Logansport Memorial Hospital

Beginning on Wednesday, November 20, collection boxes will be available in the main lobby and the Planning and Development Office at Logansport Memorial Hospital to hold food and toiletry items. LMH Employees and volunteers will be bringing in items to be collected until Friday, December 6. The items donated will benefit the Emmaus Mission Center and Salvation Army, right here in Logansport.

Please see the provided list below of recommended items for donation.

Food Items:

  • 100 % Fruit and/or Vegetable Juice
  • Canned Tuna, Chicken and Salmon
  • Unsalted Nuts
  • No Sugar Added Canned Fruit and/or Fruit Cups
  • Shelf-Stable Milk
  • Whole Grain Pasta
  • Whole Grain Breakfast Cereals
  • Brown Rice
  • Oatmeal
  • Peanut Butter
  • Low Sodium Soups and/or Stews
  • Beans
  • No Added Salt Canned Vegetables
  • Can Opener

Toiletry Items

  • Shampoo & Conditioner
  • Bar and/or Liquid Soap
  • Laundry Detergent
  • Toothpaste and Toothbrushes
  • Kleenex
  • Hairbrushes/Combs
  • Deodorant
  • Women’s Feminine Products
  • Hand Lotion
  • Unopened hotel and travel size toiletries are accepted

“It’s important to us that we give back to our community and support it in the way that it supports us,” says Vicki Byrd, Vice-President of Planning and Development. “During the holiday season, we are reminded that there are still people in need, especially in our own community.”
