Mayor: Logansport’s assessed value continues to grow
Last Updated on November 23, 2019 by City of Logansport – Mayor's Office
The continued increase in property values in Logansport reflects additional growth this year.
Statistics released by the state report the city’s assessed valuation rose from $390,344,990 to $395,764,287. That $5.4 million increase in the past year represents a 1.4 percent growth in the tax base. With the built-in controls imposed by the state for assessed valuation, the average residential homeowner will see about a $20 increase next year for all school, county and city taxes.
The city’s assessed valuation decreased from 2012 to 2015, but has increased since 2016.
